How to test HA server while the primary is running ?

I have an HA configured for PMP in my organization. We were having database replication problems previously, due to firewall port issues. I have gotten that part rectified and replication should be taking place now. I need to verify that, it is actually working and the passwords are being replicated from primary to the failover node.

Taking the primary offline in any way, shape or form is not a feasible way to test this. What I want to know is,

1. If I can login to the failover server with my same userID that I use for primary server

2. verify that my second factor authenticator works

3. retrieve few passwords that I am granted access to and verify that they are the right ones.

Again, while doing this, primary server should be up and running, providing service to everyone.

How can I do this ?
