How to read error rate alarms?
Whenever an alarm for this type of error is generated the error message is sent:
Errors rate for Interface t1 0/1: DS1 Driver (Falc56) is 100%, threshold value for this monitor is 2%
I have attached a snapshot of the graph also. The question is, whenever I log into the device the error rate is very small as shown below:
Line Status: -- No Alarms --
5 minute input rate 111480 bits/sec, 32 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 25360 bits/sec, 31 packets/sec
Current Performance Statistics:
0 Errored Seconds, 0 Bursty Errored Seconds
0 Severely Errored Seconds, 0 Severely Errored Frame Seconds
0 Unavailable Seconds, 0 Path Code Violations
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Controlled Slip Seconds
0 Line Errored Seconds, 0 Degraded Minutes
TDM group 1, line protocol is UP
Encapsulation PPP (ppp 1)
638029 packets input, 302223515 bytes, 0 no buffer
0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
1 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame
1 abort, 0 discards, 0 overruns
634561 packets output, 102509121 bytes, 0 underruns
There is one input error, one abort. How does this equate to 100%? I would like clarification on the error message please. I have multiple devices on this network and all get the same type of error message ... always 100%
Thanks in advance.
