With Patch Manager Plus, all it takes is a few quick minutes to identify High Sierra machines missing the macOS High Sierra security update, install the patch and immediately report on the status of installation.
- Ensure that your Patch Vulnerability database is up to date. To update, click Deployment >> Update Now in the bottom left.
- After syncing the database, scan the managed Mac computers. It is recommended to create a filter for Mac computers. To scan click Deployment >> Scan Systems >> Apply the 'Mac computers' filter >> Scan.
- You can detect if the security update is missing by following these steps: Click Deployment >> Choose All Patches >> Choose Applicable Patches(Detailed View) >> Search 'Security Update 2017-001' in the Patch Description box >> You can identify the computers that are missing the critical patch or already have it installed on them.
- Deploy the patch to all macOS High Sierra machines missing the security update.
