How to monitor a WebLogic server through T3S

I am trying to connect Applications Manager to monitor a BEA WebLogic Server version 8.1. This application server runs very sensitive information and it is very secured so the only way to get connected to it is via a t3s or https protocols, it is not possible to use the non-ssl t3 protocol.

My question is:

It is possible to specify the use of t3s protocol instead the default t3 protocol in the AM configuration?

I have also noticed that AM requires "weblogic.disableMBeanAuthorization" and "weblogic.management.anonymousAdminLookup", but I think setting this parameters is not necessary if the monitor specifies an user/password to connect to WebLogic isn’t it?
