How to monitor a process that resets itself every night.
I want to monitor the w3wp.exe process which is the appool process for IIS (Microsofts web server). I have one of these per web site (multiple sites & processes) on a web server. At midnight IIS resets the process automatically which cuases the process ID to change which OpsManager cannot deal with. Is there a way to account for this? I want to monitor the memory these processes are consuming.
