how to Generate traps from the external processes
Hi,
I am working on Sun Netra v 1280 Server and with Solaris 9 Operating System. I am developing an application which consists of 9-10 Processes running at a time on the same machine. Each process throws exceptions and stores those exceptions in the Log file. What I need to do is, I need to develop an SNMP Agent which monitors all these processes and throws traps/notification whenever any exception occur and it should also require to monitor the CPU utilization, Memory utilization,etc.,(System based things also). To do all this, whether I require only one agent and one MIB or more than one agent? Does AdventNet supports it or not?
And also guide me how to call trapsending method within the external processes.... And how to call Get/Set methods. Can we call external process methods within the Get/Set methods. If yes, how to call. Because I am pretty new to C++..
