How to delete alert/reset poll status OpManager, details plz
I am needing to develop a work around to the scenario where OpManager notification profiles are only executed on an initial alert and not a repeat on the next and following polls.
The "one time only until cleared" action is fine for most situations but I am needing to handle a few alerts differently, where the notification profile is executed each and every time the alert condition exists on a poll.
The workaround I am trying to implement is to delete the alarm which will cause the entire event to be triggered again as a part of the custom notification profile script I execute.
I've learned that there is more to this delete event than just deleting the record from the alerts table, and updating a status flag on the manageobject. Please provide those details so I can make the appropriate table updates.
