I'm stuck. I had a device (Windows 2003 server) have an alert fire for disk utilization, but the notification didn't get sent. I know it was working before, but for some reason it didn't send the notification email.

 

I went in and tried to figure it out and decided it would be best if I just re-applied all of the notifications to all of our devices again--just in case.

 

Now I'm stuck. I've got device templates -- I've got monitoring and alerts -- I've got notifications, but I can't figure out how to make a certain monitor and alert notification apply to multiple nodes at the same time.

 

I'm trying to apply the alert monitors to all systems based on their type (in our case OS).

 

The monitors I had setup with thresholds, were percentage of disk partitions full and number of missed polls.

 

I must be missing something easy because I can't imagine having to go through each one of our servers individually to apply these monitors and notifications.

PS. I went to add that when I use the Quick Configuration Wizard it all seems fine, per the instructions in the manual, I associate it after that, and even associate the Notification profiles, but then when I browse to an individual device within the list I just associated the monitors with, the newly selected moniters are not enabled.
