How AD Self Service can change user passwords if they have MFA enforced on the office365 tenant?

Hello guys,

In my recent scenario, i have ADSS for users to unify their local AD and 365 passwords because they are independent from each other.

recently the organization enabled MFA for some users on the office 365 tenant and now those users won't change their passwords, i assume is because of that.

in fact, the account i use to link Office365 with ADSS cannot have MFA activated or it won't link at all.

My question is if there is some extra configuration to be made? if that is the case, on what side should be, ad self service or office365 side?
