Hotfix 7204 released
Hi All,
I know a many of you would be waiting to hear this news. Yes, 7204 hotfix is released. We have added new features and also fixed a lot issues which many you would be glad to hear. This hotfix can be applied on top of build Number -7200 and above. Below, is the list of features and the issues which are fixed in this build.
New Features added in 7204
1. Over 300 new Device templates have been added.
2. Support for integrating with Netflow Enterprise Edition is configurable from Admin -->Add on Settings screen has been added.
3. Configurable option provided to ping the devices using IP Address or DNS Name.(NOTE - The option is provided in ServerParameters.conf file in OpManager\conf folder)
4. Option provided to select the Exchange server version (2003 or 2007 )while configuring exchange monitors is added.
5. New provision given to read only user to add notes.
6. Provision to configure the username/password in DBManager,if there is a change.
7. Able to configure thresholds even if the values are negative.
8. Able to monitor OID of type Time-Ticks.
Issues that are fixed in 7204
1. Issue of interface data not displayed in the device snap shot page even though the data is getting collected, is fixed.
2. Issue of being unable to delete/clear an alarm if the alarm details contain special character is fixed.
3. Issue of false alarms in windows services is fixed.
4. Issue in rediscovery of ESX Server is fixed.
5. Issue with Switch Port Mapper not listing all routers and switches has been fixed.
6. Issues of data not being shown in router availability, response time data reports etc is now fixed.
7. Issue of unable to monitor certain parameters if a device is moved to domain controller category is fixed.
8. Issue of display name not shown in the device snap shot page, if the sysname is not configured for the device is fixed.
9. Issue with process monitoring unable to fetch data when OS is Windows 2000 is fixed.
10. No data shown issue for the following reports is fixed.
a. Health Report - Response time data not shown
b. Availability Reports for Business Views
c. Router health Report - Cisco temperature data not shown
Follow the steps in this LINK to upgrade to the 7204 build. Make sure you do the backup before the upgrade.
