HotFix 7014 Released

Dear Users,

Hotfix to upgrade to build 7014 got released. This fix can be applied over build 7000 through 7013 build and the hotfix is available at

Instructions to apply the hotfix :

1. Shut down ServiceDesk Plus Server. Take a backup using backupData.bat under <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>/bin folder.
2. Run the script UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for Linux) in the <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>/bin folder. This opens the Update Manager tool.
3. Click "Browse" to select the Service Pack file (AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_<Version No>_0_0_SP-x_0.ppm file that you had downloaded) and then click "Install...".
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service Pack / Hotfix.
5. Once the upgrade is complete, start ServiceDesk Plus Server.

Please note that the changes done to wrapper.conf under <ServiceDesk_home>/server/default/conf/wrapper.conf needs to be configured again. Generally memory parameter
wrapper.java.maxmemory=512

and locale parameter

wrapper.java.additional.16=-Duser.language=en
wrapper.java.additional.17=-Duser.country=US

might have added in wrapper.conf .

Minor Enhancements :

1. Option to see all open changes, completed changes and approved changes in change calendar view.
2. Option to change the status of a request while adding a resolution for a request.[ Earlier the status can be changed to 'Closed' alone using the button 'Save and Close'.]
3. "Department" column added to request list view and "Request ID" will be displayed by default in the request list view.
4. "Serial Number" column added to Asset list view.

Issues fixed in this Hotfix :

1. Issue in viewing the request details by requester if any of the user defined field is masked for the requester in the "request form customizer".
2. Request Custom views with criteria as "Is Not" or "Not Contains" does not display the unassigned records.
3. Technician names not sorted alphabetically in Add / Edit task page.
4. Error while adding a business service to multiple assets. ( Earlier model allowed only one asset to be associated to a service. So if another asset is already related to a service, user will not be able to add another asset to the same service. This will be possible now.)
5. Earlier associated Assest name created for the received items from a purchase order refers to auto generated purchaseorder id. Now in the asset name it uses the custom PoID provided during the creation of PO.
6. SubCategory and Item will be available as dynamic variables in the customize template section of Request and Change notification rules.
7. "Asset", "Workstation" and "Software" options will be available in the search dropdown for all the modules. Earlier it was available only when 'Asset' tab was selected.
8. Unable to add a technician group in French language.
9. Unable to view attachments with non english file names in Problem, Change and Contract modules.
10. UDF Fields are not editable after 6.x to 7.x migration.
11. SDP Screens not proper when viewed in IE version 6.0.26 (Fixed only for Cipher Strength : 128-bit)
12. Auto suggest of priority not working in inline edit of request when the option 'Requester/Technician can override' is selected in Priority Matrix.
13. Under asset details, relationship tab, "used by" information displays department name in place of user name.
14. If we have the filter on change set to "Open Changes" and visiting the page after some operations does not maintain the selection. It shows 'All changes' instead of the selected one. Now the filter in Change tab is retained even on subsequent logging into the application.
15. Issue in viewing the associated request from the asset details view if the associated request is more than 25 (default page size), on clicking the next > arrow, or >> arrow throws an error.
