I am trying to use the UMT's to map the homefolder and to create it when the templateis applied. I sued to do this in the user creation template (UCT) but moved away from doing it there. 

First of all, my users homefolders location is determined by the location the user is working. If the user account is for Paris the location of the homefolder is \\servername\share\EUR\FR\username. If the user is working for Dusseldorf the path would be \\\\servername\share\EUR\DE\GERDUS\username. I have a bout 15 different sites. 

I used to have a UCT per location that took care of this but managing all these templates was getting too much work. So I moved to UMT's per location to also cover other settings in the same template, such as group membership for that site, address details and so on. 

So, the account is created using a UCT and this works fine. The account is then updated with the site specific UMT and all is applied except for the correct path of the homefolder. Everyhting is applied including the %USERNAME%. So the variable name and not the login name of the user. Not even when I specify my naming format for the login name in the UMT. 

It looks like it does not see the %USERNAME% as a variable that needs the have a value. 

Also, when configuring the drive mapping to the homefolder using the UCT, i have the option to click on the permissions link and further configure the accounts that have access to the homefolder. With the UMT, this is not possible. Would be nice to have the same option there too. 

My biggest problem is how I can use a UMT to update the account and map the homefolder of the user using the %USERNAME%
