High CPU load WMI on Windows2008R2

we are using Applications Manager to monitor our applications and I've recently added a new monitor: "Windows server 2008R2".
The polling interval is set @5 minutes.
Each time appman polls the 2008R2 server (with SP1) the CPU% peaks to 50-60% CPU.
The CPU utilization therefor shows a average of >50CPU % overall and this is not correct.
In between polls the CPU goes down to 2-5 %.
We monitor several windows servers with other OS's but the problem only occurs on this 2008R2 OS.
