Hide subject in web form ticket submission and add custom fields to generate subject line
Background: We generally have a lot of install requests on a day to day basis. I am streamlining this process as much as possible. Problem I am currently having is the inconsistent naming we are getting from our ticket submissions from these installs as the users themselves are typing them in and it's next to impossible to get them to submit it in a valid format.
Question: Is there a way to hide the subject field from user input and generate it based on the information that the user provides in the ticket?
Example:
@ClientName + @InstallLocation + @ScheduldedTime + @Developer Name etc etc
That way I can run reports on ticket names very easily and look up install requests by name.
