Help with my Server View-'Detail' Services
Ok I got two identical machines both serving say telnet, dchp, web, etc
Now in my Servers 'Detail' view, one of them doesnt have a 'dot' under the correspondign collumn. Now this dot doesnt even reappear if i do discovery manually. How do I know for sure that the service is being monitored? If say DNS goes down, will I get an email?
Another question-if a device is Unmanaged-I won't recieve an email/alarm on it if it goes down correct? (I don't want to force a test) Unmanaged is just like keeping the fact that it exists-but it doesn't 'poll' the device every say 10min correct? Or does it still 'poll' the device but not grab data on cpu, memory, etc?
