Having trouble getting NCM to apply credentials to 4507R+E w/ Sup 7L-E. Credentials manager always fails telling me to specify a prompt.

I can discover the device just fine, but am having issues with NCM applying credentials. Since OpManager finds it as a CatOS device I am not able to specify SNMP as the management method for managing configs.

When I log in to the switch via SSH I am dumped into enable mode by default. I do not have to enter an enable password. This dialog confuses the heck out of me.

My process:

SSH to management IP.

I'm prompted with the following:

login as:
password:

After entering username and password I am placed directly into enable mode:

%switchname%#

When I try to do the credentials I skip the Login Name, Password, and Prompt portion. I enter the admin username and password in the Enable UserName and Enable Password and specify the prompt as #. I hit Save and Test and it fails with the screenshot (Clipboard02.jpg) below.

If I specify the UserName and Password and prompt as > then it fails with screenshot Clipboard03.jpg.

So how in the world do I enter that info into NCM's credential manager to get it to connect properly? Is there a way to change the device type to IOS Switch so I can tell it to just use SNMP?

Here is version info:

Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500e-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 03.06.06.E RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Equates to IOS 152-2-E6.

Any help is appreciated.
