We are happy to announce the availability of ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus 4.4 Build 4410, an improvement upon all its previous versions. Enhancing security and GINA/CP service has been the prime objective of this build, which yielded the following highlights:

GINA/CP Enhancements:

• 64 bit support for GINA
• GINA /CP installation through GPO: To facilitate easy installation and deployment of GINA/CP on client machines.

Security specific features:

• Block Users: This feature prevents any user – who fails security Q&A authentication – from using ADSelfService Plus.
• Restrict Inactive users: This feature prevents stale users (inactive users in Active Directory) from consuming undue space in license count, by preventing them from using the software and uprooting them from the software license count. It also adds extra security in not allowing an inactive account to become a safe conduit for wrongdoers.
• Mandatory Questions: Through this feature administrators can enforce their own choice of questions upon domain users.
• Email Notification: Now acknowledgments will be mailed to a user as soon as he/she completes a successful self-service operation. This shall serve as a red alert in case someone unauthorized performs a password reset or account unlock for them.

Besides this, enhancing user experience has also been a priority for this build. Utility features such as “Employee Search” and features to customize error messages have been provided, which gives the software a refreshing aura.
