Gina doesnt work on Win 8 and Win10 computers that connect to Virtual servers running the Gina client.
Good Morning,
I have been evaluating ADSelfService Plus to be used in a Hyper-V Remote Desktop services environment. My users login to their Virtual servers via RDP to get their Virtual Office desktops. Each of the virtual Servers will be installed with the GINA agent to support password reset / account unlock through Logon Screen. This methodology works fine when the user uses Windows 7 but doesnt work with Win 8 ir Win 10. If I lock out a userid by not getting the password correct I expect that the login dialog should send me back to the login with the "Reset password/Unlock account" link but it doesnt return me there. I know that the security is different in WIN 8 or 10 as opposed to Win 7 but am wondering what is my best practice for accommodating these users. The GINA agent is installed only on the Virtual Server as I have no control of their native desktops and can not deploy the agent directly onto their computers. However, my environment will have all 3 Windows desktop operating systems (Win 7, 8, 10).
Can you help?
Thanks!
