The situation is we have a set of devices that we patch every other month, the devices are used for a specific purpose so not on or even in our hands than often.  We like to turn these around quickly, so patch and power off.  We keep seeing it whereby the patches are completed but EC still reports they are missing.  We may use EC or Windows updates to get the patching done, its whatever happens quickest.  We assume its because it happens so fast and that the device has not reported back in.  Can we force the devices to check in and update the information on the server?  Happy to use a script or anything, just need the server to indicate that we actually have patched the devices.  Can someone also remind me how we can publish the missing patches in the self service portal to each device - I am sure that was something that was possible.
