For Desktop Central-ServiceDesk Plus Cloud integration, only OAuth authentication mechanism will be used from now on

In accordance with this pitstop post, the AuthToken client authentication mechanism has been deprecated. Only the OAuth client authentication mechanism, which is more secure, will be used from now on. Since the AuthToken client authentication mechanism was used to integrate ServiceDesk Plus Cloud with Desktop Central previously, the integration will stop working for users who use older Desktop Central builds after Feb, 2021.

If you are using Desktop Central-ServiceDesk Plus Cloud integration, and:

  1. Your Desktop Central build is above 10.0.598,

    1. You have integrated using the AuthToken mechanism

Your integration will stop working after Feb, 2021. Please re-integrate using the OAuth mechanism (Complete procedure is given here).

    2. You have integrated using the OAuth mechanism

Then your integration will not be affected.

  2. Your Desktop Central build is below 10.0.598,

Then your integration will stop working after Feb, 2021. Please re-integrate using the OAuth mechanism (Complete procedure is given here).

Follow these steps for re-integration:

  1. Upgrade your Desktop Central build to 10.0.598 or above, preferably to the latest build available for you.

  2. Re-integrate Desktop Central with ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.

Note: The complete procedure to integrate is given in this document.
