Fix for change in DST

Hi All,

Important : Customers with versions 6001 and below have to follow the steps below to configure SD+ for the change in SDT.

Here goes the steps to configure ServiceDesk Plus for the change in DST.

1. Configure your Operating System to be notified of this change. Refer the links for the respective OS

Microsoft : http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=928388

Redhat : http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_80_7909.shtm

2. You should first register @ java.sun.com to download the timezone update fix. ( I believe the registration is free ).

Goto http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp and select JDK US DST Timezone Update Tool - 1.1.0

3. Stop ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service.

4. Extract the zip as downloaded from Step 2 and copy the tzupdater.jat to [ServiceDesk-Home]\lib folder.

5. Download the attached dstupdater.sh/bat file and place it under [ServiceDesk-Home]\bin folder.

[ Rename the .txt as .sh/.bat as the case may be ]

6. Execute the script file as below :

For Windows :

cmd> cd [ServiceDesk-Home]\bin
cmd> dstupdater.bat

For Linux :

# cd [Servicedesk-Home]\bin
# sh dstupdater.sh

7. Start ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus service.
