Hi,

We have put Desktop central into production today and so far have 3 problems, emails have been sent to support, but thought someone may be able to help on here.

 

We are running version 70106

 

1. After we ran the vun updater and scanned our Windows 2003 Server we pushed out all patches, then ran the scanner again to ensure there were none missed.

 

After all patches were said to be installed we ran windows update and the following high priority updates were showing

KB971118

 

There were also aditional updates available

KB926141

KB940157

 

We were hoping to scrap our WSUS server with the use of DC, however my concern is that DC does not list all required patches, i have not tried a client machine yet.

 

2. We have SDP and OpManager and now DC on the same server, its is impossible to have any 2 open in the same broswer, i belive this is a cookie thing, is there any way to fix this without installing onto seperate machines or using VMWARE as this is just not possible for us

 

3. All ME products are 1 hour behind the server time

 

4. Since updating some windows 2000 machines we now get multiple errors such as

dcstatusutil.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point ??_U@YAPAXI@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCRT.dll

 

these machines are 100's of km away and the only way i have seen to fix this is to boot to a recovery console rename the .dll  and extract a new copy of msvcrt.dll from the CD to put in its place

 

5. The latest JRE from the vun update fails on all machines
