File monitoring

Hello,

I Can�t get the File Monitoring/Content check to work in Applications Manager 8.

The monitor is configured to check the content in a file on a remote server "Sun Solaris 10".
The monitor seems to work fine, The file is found and the filesize change values are shown.

when i modify the file and add the content that the monitor is supposed to find nothing happens,
the health is always clear on the monitor.
I guess the health value on the monitor is supposed to turn in to alarm when the matched string
is found in the file or am i wrong?

The monitor is executing the following commands on the remote server after the addition of new content
in the file.

ls -l /svtse/test.log
echo $?
wc -l /svtse/test.log
echo$?2
tail -5 /svtse/test.log |grep -in 'teststring' | wc -l

Am I doing something wrong or is it supposed to work in some other way?

We are running the following version for evaluation purpose.
Application Manager 8
Build Number 8500
License Type Free Edition
