File Attachment Action

Notes

In the notes piece, it would be nice to have URL's automatically detected and proper HTML tags implemented to create the link. This goes for Emails also. You don't even have to get all fancy and convert them to short links etc. Just a simple regex to parse URLs/Email.

Current Example:

Hi this a note that has a web url http://www.google.com/ and email foo@bar.baz

Future Feature Example:

Hi this is a note that has a web url http://www.google.com/ and email foo@bar.baz

Attachments

I see in the latest (Nov 28 2011) Roadmap that there is no current plans for adding support to "Actions" menu for "Attach file...".

There is also no plan, that I'm aware of, for adding it on the Request Details page to simply attach a file to the request.

Currently, in order to attach a file you must Edit the request and attach via that method.

That work flow sucks. Period.

Is it possible to get ANY or all of the below options for attaching files?

I've given up on even requesting this feature anymore...

API/Modules

So if development is slowing down on this, maybe the team could focus on creating an API and Module framework and allow end-users/techs to write modules to do the stuff we want? Maybe move to an OSE format or something where the community could contribute. Being locked up like this and paying out the nose for quarterly updates is a hair pulling experience.
