HI

I am trialling the service desk plus and am pretty certain that I will purchase it. However a couple of queries that I have is...

1) technician permissions. For example I want to give a technician permission to be only administer requests & Solutions. At the moment the default is SDAdmin.

When I go to add a role, it allows me the options...
Requests
Inventory
Purchase
Contract
Solutions
Reports

However I dont want a technician to be able to change the settings in the admin home page. Can I do this or is this something AdventNet need to add?

2) If I spend a long time customizing settings and want to back up just the settings how can I do this. I dont want to backup my whole server. Is there more technical documentation about backing up and restoring files?

3) I cant find install documentation about using Microsoft SQL 2000/20005. Is it supported? If so how can I set up the DB. Can the DB Sit on my SQL server and the service Desk plus sit on another server?

4) Service Desk plus, if i remember correctly from when I installed it, set itself up as the default website for the server. If I have an intranet server with IIS 6.0 running. I already have a home page where I will create a link to the helpesk. How can I install service desk as a sub site?
