Feature Request: Options for Task Assignments

I wanted to discuss a potential enhancement to your system that could significantly improve efficiency and streamline processes.

Background: As part of our staff onboarding process, we currently use a task template that includes multiple tasks assigned to different groups. However, managing these tasks manually can be time-consuming and prone to errors.

Enhancement Proposal: I propose implementing the ability to assign task templates directly to the technician assigned to a specific request. Here are the key features of this enhancement:

  1. Technician Assignment: When a request is created, the system would automatically assign the relevant task template to the technician handling that request. This ensures that the right tasks are associated with the right personnel.

  2. Round-Robin Task Assignment: For tasks that need to be distributed among different groups (such as staff onboarding tasks), the system could use a round-robin approach. This way, each group receives an equal share of tasks, preventing any one group from being overwhelmed.

  3. Automation: By automating task assignment based on technician assignment and task templates, we reduce manual effort and minimize the risk of oversight.
