Feature Request - Inactivity Based Shutdown
I'd like to see the ability to have the DC agent watch for inactivity on a managed desktop between specified hours for a recurring shutdown job. (See ScriptLogic's Desktop Authority for a brilliant example of this feature.)
We have a need to shut down all of our computers nightly, but don't want to interrupt anybody who is busy or crazy enough to work outside of office hours. It would be great to have the flexibility in Desktop Central that could "watch" the computers between a user configurable time range for inactivity lasting more than say 30 minutes, at which time the agent would know the computer is safe to turn off. (Or 15 minutes or 45 or 60 or 120 or whatever - user configurable.)
Right now, all we can do is pick an arbitrary time (currently 10:00PM) for all computers to shut down, but our energy savings could be huge if we could widen that window to 5:00PM and still have the behind-the-scenes ability to not interrupt anybody until they have left for the day.
