Feature request for folder monitoring
We have a requirement to monitor a folder which processes files in batches. A remote process/server delivers files to this folder to be analysed and processed. We need to know if it's processing OK.
Unfortunately, file count monitoring can't be used as we don't know how many files will be dropped in at any time, or when they will arrive.
What we would like, if possible is to monitor the last modified date (age) of the oldest file in the folder and alert if it does not change between a specified poll interval.
eg if the oldest file is 2 hours old and on the next poll in 30 mins the oldest file is the same file (@ 2.5 hours old) then we know that the processing has failed and then it could generate an alert.
Can you tell me if this is currently possible in any way or whether it would be considered as a feature request?
