Feature Request
Hi Guys,
We purchased OpManager Premium a while back after having evaluated quite a few products. I must say that it has given us visibility into the network that we have not had before, so I am very happy with it.
Working with it for a while now I have found some things that could be improved or added. I hope this is the right place for this.
1) We want to use it in a wallboard environment. Business views should be displayed on the wallboard. This can obviously be done, but there is a lot of stuff you do not want to display (like the menus etc.). The idea would be to display a business view only, full screen, and updating every minute. What we have done is to write a java app to cycle through all the business views by only displaying the .png images full screen. Obviously an instance of the web client has to run in the background for each view.
2) We also want to display the list of alarms in the same manner as above. I am currently thinking that we will have to do SQL queries and create a web page to display them. I have not really looked into this one yet.
3) We are monitoring about 200 devices. It is dificult to manage the monitors. It would help a lot of you can create policies for device categories. For example, you can apply a monitor to all routers. When a new one is added, the monitors are automatically applied to this device because there is a policy set on the category. Also, you can look at the policy, and see which devices are not reporting because of passwords etc.
