I am having a problem with forewarding the helpdesk requests through exchange to an outside address.

What we do is create a contact the has teh smtp email address. I.E. Administrator@yourdomain.com we then foreward the person mail to the contac as well as the exchange mailbox. this works for everything EXCEPT service desk.

When I put in a ticket abotu it I was told that you do not support exchange funtionality. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. You seriously dont support exchange? Thats like being a mechanic and not working on toyota.

It has something to do with the way that teh header is passed, because I get all kinds of wierd error in exchange when I turn on SMTP login. THings like system expected RCPT but got something else. unab le to processs.


Can someone please look into this? currently we have no way to recieve our tickets if we are outside the building. SMS is a joke becase it generates like 7 messages for every ticket.
