Exchange Server Monitoring

I have monitoring setup for our exchange server and under "Service Monitors" I Exchange, Web added to be monitored. Under "Application monitors" I have MsExchange added under there.

Now my issue is that I am receiving alot of unnecessary alerts related to "Exchange service is down" as well as "Exchange service is up". Here are my concerns:

- What exchange service do they mean because I have MsExchange as an application monitor.

- I don't need an alert telling me Exchange service is up.
- These can't be related to thresholds because those are different types.

Basically I don't need unnecessary alerts for this server, only when the MsExchange monitor has problems I need to know......
