Excessive Postgres.exe processes running

Hi there

We have AD Manager and AD Self Service installed on the same Win 2008 server. This server is our web application server and hosts other web apps as well. Since we have installed these products we have noticed that the overall performance of the server is degraded and on occasion we receive out of memory errors. Upon investigating this we have noted that at times there are up to 30 postgres.exe processes executing at the same time and this is consuming the memory and CPU.

Any idea why this would be happening even when the service is not in use? How can we limit the number of postgres.exe processes that are being executed simultaneously?
