Evt Importing in ELA

Hi,

ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer have obliged to many of our customers who had requested us to provide facility to import their already collected windows event log files (in .evt format) and analyze & provide reports on them.

This will be useful to those who want to look at their

* Older windows logs
* Log files saved for forensic purpose
* Searching a random event
* Logs from busy/high performing servers and
* Logs from machines connected through low bandwidth/across firewall
* Logs from machines which users don't want to be monitored at real time

For the last three scenarios user can schedule jobs to periodically import evt files (say for every 12 hours) and generate report for them. This way these machines were not polled often and the file transferring for each schedule will be handled by ELA. Other who want one time import can optionally import, analyze and remove the entire trace of logs from report engine.
