Eventlog Analyzer- U.S Daylight Savings Time patch

Greetings, Good Day!

Please find below the steps to configure Eventlog Analyzer for the new Daylight Savings Time settings.

1. First, the OS needs to be updated. You can get more information from the following;

a) For Microsoft products, please refer "support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=928388".

b) For Redhat, refer "kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_80_7909.shtm".

2. Download the "tzupdater.jar" from the link java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp and click on the 'download' button against JDK US DST Timezone Update Tool - 1.1.0 topic. This needs a simple registration.

3. Stop Eventlog Analyzer Server/service.

4. Extract the zip and place the "tzupdater.jar" in the <Eventlog Analyzer Home>\lib folder.

5. Download the attached "dstupdater.sh" or "dstupdater.bat" file and place it under <Eventlog Analyzer Home>\bin folder. Rename the attached .txt files to .sh or .bat

6. Execute the "dstupdater.bat" or "dstupdater.sh" from the <Eventlog Analyzer Home>\bin folder.

7. Start Eventlog Analyzer Server/service.

Note: We have renamed "dstupdater.sh/bat" as "dstupdater.sh/bat.txt" as our mail server does not allow those extensions. So kindly save those files as "dstupdater.sh/bat" respectively.
