Pretty disappointed that with the new ESM you can't:
1) Migrate existing tickets to new site. I already have multiple support groups in my instance, Was hoping to segregate out my teams. But you can't migrate your existing tickets!!! what? Oops? so I need to tell my company we are going to have to start over with servicedesk in order to make new sites?? really??
I know there are scripts that supposedly migrate tickets but I am told they don't bring everything.What about our existing tickets? We expected to be able to migrate over everything into our new sites. I have 30k tickets that belong to one group and 20K in another but no way to separate/migrate all of those tickets. But even if I could migrate them over .....
2) You can't communicate between the new sites!!!!!? wow this one is just a shocking mistake. So we build all these new sites (good idea) but the new sites can't share tickets ? We can't assign tasks between sites? So the idea was to have a company wide ticketing system and Enterprise system - but you can't share a ticket? So hardly a true enterprise system if you can't share or communicate with other groups/sites.
If servicedesk can fix it so you can share tickets between sites/groups that would help allot. Then when you are done - please write a migration tool to move tickets, conversations, everything from site to site. Otherwise the power of ESM is limited to start up sites that don't need anyone else in the company to assist them in their work.
