Hi.
I'm trying to get my OpManager service separated from other services (which is my normal routine). For a while, I've had my OpManager running on a server which also has other things runnign on it.
So, I replicated the Windows server on which I am running OpManager so that I could have it on a server of its own.
Of course, I renamed the Windows server, gave it a new SID and IP and did everything else necessary for it to be a completely separate server.
I then shut down the service on the original one so that this new one could just take over for it.
However, when I first log in to the home page on the new one, I see an alert in the "Recent Alarms" section on lower left.
There's a red circle with white X with the OpManager server's old name to the right of it, and there's a message to the right of that which says,
"OpManager has detected that it has lost..."
When I click on old server name, it brings up a page that says,
"Unable to find the object : Old_Server_Name"
When I click on the message on the right, it brings up the alarms page and says,
"OpManager has detected that it has lost network connectivity and has suspended all monitoring. Monitoring will be automatically resumed once connectivity is established."
So, I have two questions...
1. How can I fix this?
2. Why did it not happen the other time I did this same thing?
I have replicated this server one other time in the past in order to create an OpManager instance for others to use. I did everything the same that time as far as I know, and did not have this problem.
Thanks.
