ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket

Hi

I installed ServiceDesk Plus 8.0  in debian server. I trying connect to the mysql server using this credentials

user: root
password: blank
port: 33366

and the server said  ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2).
