Enterprise Software Licensing
When I create a license for an Enterprise software, for instance 250 count, but it has just one license key, it creates 250 entries of that license, each with a number at the end such as below and in my attachment.
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003-3288
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003-3289
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003-3290
etc. until it lists an entry for all 250. If they are an enterprise license, it's just one license. Having it listed 250 times (or however many) for each Enterprise license makes associating a request to a software asset a HUGE pain. I know, you can search for the name. But this just doesn't make sense.
I can understand listing each "individual" license but listing one for each of the licenses within an Enterprise is just ridiculous. If it's Enterprise, it really doesn't matter which workstation it's on as long as there is the correct amount of allocated licenses.
What do others do with this, how do you handle Enterprise licenses?
