When creating configuration tasks for items such as deploying software, I typically will use DC reporting to identify machines that may need or already have a specific piece of software or change. Sometimes I will need to export DC reports to Excel in order to provide a more accurate report on machines that need a software or change.

 

Possible Enhancment 1:

I guess the general request here is better integration between the different modules of DC with deployment functions.

It would be helpful to be able to select machine names from a generated report (Within DC, of course), and create a configuration task directly from there. This could also possibly be done directly from the Inventory module while filtering for software, but I may want to target machines based on other criteria instead of software. (For example, use the User Logon History report to find all machines certain user has accessed within the past 30 days, and push a configuration task to them.)

 

Possible Enhancment 2:

For situations where Excel has best suited my needs for reporting, it would be helpful to be able to import computers names into a configuration task from a .csv or .xls(x) file. Currently targeting specific computers requires me to view my whole list of domain joined workstations, and select from there.
