End of Support for Internet Explorer

Dear Users,


Beginning with the General Availability of the New UI, ServiceDesk Plus Cloud will not support Internet Explorer to take advantage of modern web standards and to deliver improved functionality, security, and the best possible user experience. We will continue to support Microsoft Edge.

 

Why we are discontinuing

 At ManageEngine, superior customer experience and enhanced security are our primary goals. With ServiceDesk Plus Cloud, we always strive to provide a modern, intuitive, secure and faster platform to our customers. To achieve this, we have decided to discontinue support for Internet Explorer based on the following considerations.

  • Reduced functionalities: Since the introduction of Microsoft Edge in 2015, Internet Explorer 11 has not received any major updates to meet newer web standards. Only security updates are provided. This means some new UI functionalities or features, including Kanban,  won't work on Internet Explorer.

  • Security Issues: Internet Explorer does not support latest version of TLS nor CSP which can pose serious security threats.

  • Performance Issues: Given the older architecture, Internet Explorer is significantly slower than most modern browsers.  

  • Microsoft discourages IEMicrosoft discourages the use of Internet Explorer as your default browser and favors Microsoft Edge instead. According to Microsoft, Internet Explorer is just a component of Windows provided as a compatibility solution. 

 

What you should do

If you are using Internet Explorer as your default browser, we recommend switching to any of the supported browsers as listed below.
