Email responses to tasks assigned to non technicians
Hello,
Could anyone assist me to set up efficiently getting tasks assigned to non technicians?
I am setting up a template for a New Joinee and want to assign the task of setting up a desk and furniture to a non-licensed technician.
By creating a technician from an "Office Manager" requester and removing the log-in, I can get a task assigned to an Office Manager and an email notification sent to him.
The licensed technician who has been assigned the request can cut and paste the new joinee information into the task description so the Office Manager can see who is joining staff (when he clicks on the link in the email).
But, when the Office Manager responds to the email to say the desk, etc. is set up, the reply email seems to disappear into a void and does not appear to view in either the Request details or the Task details.
1. Is there some way to get the reply to an emailed task to connect up with either the task or the parent Request. (The request ID # appearing in the re line would be one way this could be done.)
2. Is there some way to get request data to appear in the child task data? Rather than having manually put in the New Joinee data, could there be an optional variable to stick the "Request Description" data in?
