Duplicate VM entries on Hyper-V cluster member
On our Hyper-V cluster we are seeing a number of VMs that show up twice: on with an IP address and one without. We have tried the following:
- Delete the entry with an IP address
- This results in two entries without IP addresses. We can add an IP to one or the other.
- Add the IP address to the one without
- This is disallowed by OpManager. We get the following error: "Error: This device is already mapped to a VM. Delete the VM and re-discover the Host to rectify it."
- Add a bogus IP address and then delete the VM
- We can add a bogus IP, which allows us access to the delete option, but we always are left with a VM without an IP. We are never able to make the VM go away.
Not sure what to try next.
