Duplicate Assets

Hi all,

We have a problem where we are regularly getting duplication of assets from our weekly scans of the domain ... often we fine 8 or 9 copies of computers in the SD database ... obviously this causes lots of issues with asset and software reporting.

I have looked around to see if anyone else is having this issue ... but haven't spotted it. This problem has been occurring ever since we started using SD (July 05), and (now that the customized report functionality is improved) I was wanting to use it for software and asset audits.

Can anyone shed any light on what might be causing this ?
