Due dates Duplicates

I am tring to use service desk
So far it seems excellent!

the main problem I am hitting is when I create a ticket
I do not have an option to set the due date

so after the ticket is created, I edit the due date.

Then the system makes TWO tickets
one with the original due date
and one with the new due date!

How do I stop this?
