Currently we are installing the SDP 8 agent on our workstations to enable asset inventory and other functions like change monitoring, request monitoring etc.

Please clarify if the Asset database remain intact and connected with the asset even after the Operating System on the Workstation in formatted and reinstalled alongwith the SDP agent?

How does the reinstalled agent tell the SDP server that it is the same Workstation as earlier and get all the requests, changes etc linked to the reinstalled workstation?
