Hi,
I am running OP-Manager version 10000. I have ~65 routers discovered through the IP subnet. The DNS name was correctly discovered when the routers were added. The routers have notification profiles and customization applied as well as part of many business views with links.
I have a nightly re-discover workflow applied on all routers.
Yesterday the DNS name of all the routers was changed. Same devices, same IP's, but the DNS name changed to another domain.
This morning (after the automatic rediscovery), all routers were duplicated, so now i have (~130 routers): 2 devices with the same IP but with different display names.
The old ones are available (probably using PING by IP) but none of the SNMP queries are working anymore (probably using the DNS name).
The new ones are working properly but they are like new devices: no customization, no notification profiles, not part of business views. The result is kind of a disaster.
I would remove the new devices and then rename the old ones to match the new DNS names / display names. With other words update the old objects to cope with the changes so all customization / notification and business views will remain. How can i do this last step?
Thanks and Regards,
