Hello,
I am running a Desktop Central Server (my LocalOffice) and a Distribution Server (my RemoteOffice).
I installed the distribution server .msi onto my remote office server. I also configured a replication between the LocalOffice and RemoteOffice. Lastly, I have an IPScope defined which pushes my clients to LocalOffice or RemoteOffice when they make contact with the agent installation. The manage engine agent is currently rolled out via GPO in our domain. The remote office settings are configured, is reachable and automatically installs the WAN agent.
My main repository is under my desktop central server machine. I already have 3 software packages (.msi) configured. With my remote office configuration including IPScopes, I can define the package roll-outs by location now. So far so good.
The distribution server has its folder structure which I can see, including the folders e.g. "replication/swrepository", etc. BUT : somehow these folders are empty. Shouldn't there be a replication going on so I can see the 3 software packages (.msi) also in the repository in my distribution server?
All my clients (in local office and also remote office) have an active agent and I can see all of them in the Scope of Management. But the clients in the remote office - shouldn't they get directed to the distribution server? Their agent icon in the icon tray always shows the IP and hostname of the desktop central server.
Also : I have a replication policy every 10min. It shows that the replication will take place, but when it is time, nothing happens. The next replication time is shown then, only. The log only shows a successfully repository replication when I restart my distribution server.
How exactly does the replication work? I understand the concept, but I thought that when a remote client computer gets a software package, it pulls it from the distribution server. But there is nothing on the distribution server despite Manage Engine says the remote office and replication is green and configured.
The logs from my distribution server are attached.
