Anyone notice how difficult it is to setup a notification profile for Windows services, or am I just doing it wrong.

 

I have all of my services that I want to monitor, already being monitored, however when I want to setup a notification profile for this server, I have to go through and pick the services I want to monitor, from a list. This wouldnt be so bad except the fact that they are not listed ALPHABETICALLY.

 

What a PAIN!

 

I have been able to work around it by using an alarm escalation profile, that will notify when any Windows service, that is being monitored, hits service down status (and isnt cleared within 10 minutes), but that is not really its intended purpose, although that is how the notification profile should work, just alert me if any service I am monitoring is down... how simple.

 

Also, does anyone know if they plan on rewriting any of the code to list items in these lists alphabetically. That is so annoying.
