Difficulty changing passwords on Windows devices

Difficulty changing passwords on Windows devices

We have multiple Windows servers all in sync with pmp; issuing verify password confirms this passwords are in sync. However when attempting to change the password to one of out own password policies or simply specifying our own password, the password change fails and we are unable to login to the system. The exact error message is:

"Activity logs :


1. Access is denied.
Trying to use Agent Mode :
1. Agent not installed in *servername*"


Our preference is not to install an agent for password management.

Following the failure, passwords no longer remain in sync, as if the password has been changed but errored. Any help would be very appreciated, thanks.
