In every organization, handling approval is a nightmare even though we have a pre-configured approval structure, in certain situations such as if the approver is external to the domain and yet the admin is unable to provide them access to the system then goes through a manual process. This ends up with confusion in approving the request. 

As a part of handling such scenarios, we have automation in place that helps us to overcome those confusions. We have an AI assistant Zia that helps us in automating the approval process based on the email responses. 

                                                

How to enable Zia in ServiceDesk Plus?

Navigate to Admin --> Zia --> Zia configuration --> Status (Enable) 

                                                


On the other hand, you can configure Zia by enabling the Allow approvers to perform approval actions by replying to the approval email option in the self-service portal settings. This also comprises the notification email sent to the approver stating their approval action based on their reply. 

                                                     

We can customize the data for which Zia could take action and test the predictions made by Zia then and there. 

                                                

How does Zia work in real-time? 

Zia scans the email responses for approval emails sent across requests like Incident, Service, Change, and Purchase Order then performs the action accordingly. 

                                                

                                                

Zia will also improve its responses by providing feedback over its approval action and adjust itself on a 15 minutes cycle.
